I'm Rick — a hypnotherapist based in Greater Vancouver, BC. I work one-on-one with everyday adults who feel stuck in a pattern they can't think their way out of — a drinking habit, insecurity, self-sabotage, or just the sense that something keeps holding them back.

My approach is easy and human. Using hypnosis, NLP, and Self Concept, I help you change the limiting beliefs underneath the pattern — at the unconscious level, where they actually live. What methods do you use to make the changes?

I have a host of techniques from NLP, Self Concept, and hypnosis. Over time I've focused on the ones that rapidly and easily create the changes you want, with the least effort and resistance. They all work best when you're in a state of trance, because that lowers the resistance from your conscious mind and lets me make the changes more easily at the unconscious level. We'll change the beliefs that are holding you back — and depending on your goals, if you choose, we can deep dive and make changes at an identity level.

What can I expect during the free consultation?

During our free initial consultation, I'll learn what you want. We'll do some fun exercises to make sure you're a good candidate for this change work — don't worry, almost everyone is. I'll get an idea of which methods will work best for you, and we can make sure we're a good match to work together.

How long does it take?

It really depends on what you need to change or improve — some changes can be made in one session. Often, once someone makes the change they came for, they later want to come back for more. I also do ongoing peak-performance coaching for professionals who get paid based on their performance and are constantly striving to get better.

Will I lose control or be made to do something?

No. Hypnosis isn't the stage-show version. You stay fully aware the whole time, you can't be made to act against your values, and you could open your eyes and stop whenever you like. It feels like a deep, pleasant rest — not a trance someone else is steering.

Is this really confidential?

Completely. Sessions are private and one-on-one, online sessions happen wherever you feel safe, and nothing is shared with anyone. Many people choose this precisely because it doesn't involve groups, meetings, or telling anyone in their life.

What if I'm not in British Columbia?

No problem. Sessions over Zoom work just as well as in-person, and the at-home audio programs travel with you. Plenty of people work with Rick entirely online.
